Dr. Chaya Shwaartz’s research is centered on innovative approaches to surgical education, leveraging cutting-edge technology, such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence, to enhance training in HPB and transplant surgery. Her work bridges the gap between technical proficiency and collaborative decision-making, fostering a safer and more effective learning environment for trainees at all levels. She integrates her clinical expertise with education-focused research, emphasizing curriculum development, simulation-based training, and performance assessment. Her projects often embody a multidisciplinary approach, involving technological innovation, quality improvement, and mentorship.
