The Student, Staff, Alumni and Faculty Engagement (SAFE) Committee considers funding requests from external groups on a case-by-case basis. “External” is defined as outside the official IMS Student Groups and Associations, and could include groups, initiatives or programs within the IMS, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto and its affiliated research institutes, or from the wider community.
External Funding Information:
External funding requests can be for a maximum amount of $1,000 each. Individuals and/or groups may not receive more than one funding allocation per academic year. Project proposals must include engagement with the IMS community, and must align with the vision, mission and priorities of the IMS Strategic Plan 2021-2026 and the SAFE Committee.
Those successful in receiving funding are required to provide a brief summary report within 3-months of completion, indicating how the funds were used and the success and/or impact of their initiative.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. There is no deadline to apply. Decisions take upwards of 4 weeks after receipt of all documentation.
