The University of Toronto is committed to providing services that support your physical and mental health. These services range from the on-campus Health & Wellness centre, to workshops and events that address specific topics of concern. As a student at the Institute of Medical Science, you have access to a broad range of amenities provided by staff, faculty, and fellow student groups.

U of T Health & Wellness provides a range of health services for your physical and mental health, wellness programs and information to help support you in achieving your personal and academic goals. 

On-Location Mental Health

The Office of Graduate and Life Sciences Education in the Faculty of Medicine has one dedicated on-location counsellor, available exclusively for GLSE/IMS graduate students. Schedule an appointment with Laurie Coleman (MSW, RSW), or learn about the on-campus wellness series she co-leads that you can attend.  

Graduate Wellness Workshops

The School of Graduate Studies hosts free wellness workshops just for graduate students. Learn skills to help you cope with stressful situations and the demands of grad student life.

U of T My Student Support Program (My SSP)

U of T MySSP provides students with immediate and/or ongoing confidential, 24-hour support for any school, health, or general life concern at no cost to you. You can call or chat with a counsellor directly from your phone whenever, wherever you are.
