Sexual and Gender Diversity Office

The Sexual & Gender Diversity Office (SGDO) develops partnerships to build supportive learning and working communities at the University of Toronto by working towards equity and challenging discrimination.

The SGDO is at the forefront of community and policy development on emerging and ongoing equity issues within higher education from the perspective of sexual and gender diversity.

The SGDO is a part of the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture at the University of Toronto.

The Centre for Women and Trans People

The Centre for Women and Trans People is committed to providing a safe, harassment-free drop in space for all women and trans people on campus. We provide free support, referrals, resources and advocacy on issues of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, violence, health and poverty through our workshops, events, services and programming.

Anti-Racism and Cultural Diversity Office

The Anti-Racism and Cultural Diversity Office (ARCDO) within the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture, provides services to support University members in their efforts to foster environments that are intentionally racially diverse and inclusive through the advancement of equitable practices, education and training and the provision of complaints resolution supports on matters of race, faith and intersecting identities as guided by the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

Temerty Medicine Office of Inclusion and Diversity 

The Office of Inclusion & Diversity (OID) is part of the Office of the Dean at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine. The mandate of the OID is to support the Temerty Medicine’s commitment to lead in the area of equity, inclusion and diversity, and to create and promote innovative and accountable diversity and equity related programming in collaboration with other members of the Temerty Medicine community as well as external partners, which include the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network (TAHSN) and community organizations.

Community of Support

The Community of Support (COS) program is a collaborative initiative supported by several faculties of medicine across Canada, which supports prospective students facing systemic barriers on their journeys to medical education, basic sciences, and rehabilitation sciences programs. This includes individuals who identify as Indigenous, Black, Filipino, Latin American, and students that face financial barriers, and/or self-identify as having a disability, and/or are non-traditional applicants (e.g., mature students).

First Nations House

First Nations House (FNH) is a culturally relevant hub for Indigenous students at the University of Toronto.

FNH provides a space on the St. George campus to learn about Indigenous knowledges and traditional teachings, attend events, socialize, seek guidance from Traditional Teachers and access financial and academic supports.

Accessibility Services 

The Accessibility Services team helps students navigate disability-related barriers to their academic success at U of T for their on-going or temporary disability. We provide services and supports for learning, problem solving and inclusion.

Multi-Faith Centre

The University of Toronto's Multi-Faith Centre provides an inclusive space for you to engage in community, where you can learn, grow and explore diverse cultural and spiritual perspectives.

Family Care Office 

The Family Care Office (FCO) supports current University of Toronto students, staff, faculty, librarians, post-doctoral fellows, and their families with any family care related issue. The FCO has always emphasized an inclusive definition of family.

Black Research Network

The Black Research Network spotlights Black research excellence that plays an integral part of what makes the University of Toronto the top university in Canada. We are a vibrant network of award-winning, multidisciplinary and leading researchers shaping a better future, with local and global impact.

MED Diversity Mentorship Program

The MED Diversity Mentorship Program aims to connect Temerty Faculty of Medicine undergraduate medical students or first year residents from minoritized groups to faculty mentors who are able to support and assist them in their educational and professional growth and development.
