Research Synopsis:

My research focuses on the mental health needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families. I study psychosocial risk factors for psychiatric disorders and innovative mental health interventions in this population. I am the principal investigator of several studies examining clinical and systems issues related to health services. I am also involved in a number of projects, focused on partnerships between clinicians, families and people with disabilities to improve primary, emergency and mental health care.
