Research Synopsis:

Clinical and translational research, with a focus on respiratory virus infection and other vaccine preventable infections, in high-risk immunocompromised populations (solid organ transplant recipients, patients with hematological malignancy). Clinical research aspect includes interventional randomized clinical trials, observational prospective cohort studies with immune profiling, prospective and retrospective clinical epidemiology to identify risk factors for severity of infection in these patient populations. Translational research aspect with an emphasis on bench to bedside approach, translation into meaningful outcomes, enabled by close working relationship with collaborators including Humar/Kumar laboratory.
