Anita Hamadanizadeh
Dr. Hamadani obtained her Master's in Receptor Pharmacology from the Pharmacology and Toxicology Department and her PhD in Molecular Characterization of the Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia Oncoprotein from the Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Toronto.
As a Teaching-Stream Assistant Professor, Dr. Hamadani’s primary mission is education: designing, leading, and supervising lab- and research-based learning experiences for undergraduates and graduates. She plays a crucial role in experiential learning, ensuring continuity in student training—from first exposure to practical pharmacology through to more sophisticated in vitro/in vivo drug development simulation. Her pedagogical role helps shape the next generation of pharmacologists by providing rigorous training in experimental design, critical thinking, and laboratory practice.
