Research Synopsis
Dr. Stinson’s iOUCH lab is part of the Child Health Evaluative Sciences (CHES) research program at SickKids and focuses on the following areas of research:
- Promoting shared (children and their parents jointly manage the disease) and self-management (youth) in paediatric chronic and life-threatening health conditions.
- Electronic diaries to monitor and support clinical decision-making regarding pain and other symptoms.
- Internet-based disease management and transitional care programs to improve child health outcomes.
- Knowledge translation and patient engagement.
- Interprofessional pain education.
- Mixed methods research.
- Through evidence-based research and knowledge translation processes, her lab aims to improve the lives of children and adolescents through the use of innovative information and communication technologies.
