Dr. Evangelia Vlachodmitropoulou is an academic consultant in Maternal & Fetal Medicine. She completed her training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in London, UK, and her PhD at UCL, London, UK, focusing on haemoglobinopathies and transfusional iron overload. She completed fellowhips in Maternal & Fetal Haematology followed by subspecialist training in Maternal & Fetal Medicine and fetal therapy. 

Dr. Vlachodimitropoulou’s research extends to critical areas like venous thromboembolism and red cell disorders in pregnancy as well as fetal haematology. Her work, funded by prestigious bodies like the Helliwell Foundation and the Clinical Research Trial Institute (CRTI) Award 2023 from the American Society of Haematology (ASH), has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
