Research Synopsis

Dr. Boyle is an independent scientist at CAMH specializing in PET imaging and radiopharmaceuticals. Her research focuses on identifying biomarkers that are common to oncology and neuroinflammatory/neurodegenerative diseases through PET imaging with a current focus on inflammatory biomarkers. Preclinical models include multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, tumor xenografts, neuroinflammation. The overall goal of Dr. Boyle’s work is to hasten the development of effective PET imaging agents for oncology by learning from neuroinflammation, and vice versa.
