The Institute of Medical Science recently welcomed Caroline Ruivo as our new Executive Assistant and Faculty Affairs Administrator. In this role Caroline serves as the EA to the IMS Director, manages faculty appointments and internal awards, and provides support to the Executive Committee and EDIIA Committee.
Caroline brings with her extensive experience. Prior to joining the IMS, Caroline worked as the Postgraduate Education Coordinator in Paediatric Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children, and as a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy Coach at the Canadian Mental Health Association. She received her Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
We asked Caroline a few fun get-to-know you questions:
What is your favourite holiday destination?
My family comes from Portugal, so I love to spend time there, especially the city of Lisboa.
What is your favourite snack?
Chocolate covered almonds and strawberries.
What are your hobbies?
Creating art, including painting and drawing, and horseback riding.
What are your favourite places to visit in Toronto?
There's so many to choose from. I love to spend time at the AGO, ROM, Distillery District, the Well, Yorkville, Harbourfront Centre and our own King's College Circle on campus.
