The IMS, in collaboration with IMSSA and our Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program, is excited to be hosting "IMS Connects: Bridging Academia and Industry" on Tues. May 3 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM in the Medical Sciences Building, Rm. 2170. Join us for this in-person panel and networking event where you can connect with successful professionals working in different areas of academia and industry. All are welcome to attend.

Current job: Respirologist at the University Health Network; Scientist at Toronto General Hospital Research Institute; Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, UofT
Dr. Nana Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry where she pioneered the addition of professional development in biomedical graduate education. Along with Dr. Reinhart Reithmeier, she developed and implemented the innovative Graduate Professional Development (GPD) course which is now offered by IMS.

Current job: Michael E Charles Professor in Chemical Engineering; former Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Tissue Engineering (2001-2020); Founder of four spin-off companies; Board member of Boards of Martinrea Inc. and MaRs; Founding partner at Research2Reality.
Dr. Plant is an Adjunct Scientist and Genomics Specialist at the Keenan Research Center for Biomedical Science at Unity Health Toronto (SMH). She is also the Course Director for IMS' Graduate Professional Development Course "Success After Graduate School."
