Research Synopsis
Dror’s main research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell failure and clonal evolution in inherited disorders with bone marrow failure. These apparently opposing cell fates can occur in the same disease and in the same patient. To decipher the mechanisms for these devastating aberrations and to develop strategies to reverse them, the lab uses advanced functional assays, ribosome assays, DNA sequencing, transcriptomic and proteomic tools on primary bone marrow cells as well as cell models.
