Research Synopsis:
Dr. Velec's research aims to advance radiation therapy for cancer treatment. This includes developing high-precision, adaptive radiation therapy techniques with MRI-guidance, deformable image registration and dose accumulation. A parallel focus is on person-centered cancer care, using novel radiation therapist models-of-care for personalized patient support and experiences.
