Research Synopsis:
Dr. Gilla Shapiro is a Psychologist and Clinician-Scientist at the Department of Supportive Care, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. She completed a PhD in clinical and health psychology at McGill University and a dual-degree Master of Public Administration and Master of Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Hertie School of Governance. Dr. Shapiro’s interests include psychosocial oncology, cancer prevention, vaccination, health decision making, the social determinants of health, policy and health equity. She holds grant funding from CIHR and CIRN.
