Colin Hawco

Research Synopsis

Dr. Hawco is a cognitive neuroscientist working with functional neuroimaging techniques, particularly fMRI, and brain stimulation approaches. His work focuses on identifying biomarkers of psychiatric disease, cognition, and treatment response. Dr. Hawco's lab uses computational approaches, including data driven methods such as clustering, multivariate statistical approaches, and novel measures focused on individual variability. Rather than case-control differences, his research focuses on what makes people unique individuals and how that can contribute to brain health, and by extension mental health.
