Underrepresented in STEM
Join the IMS Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee and IMSSA as we explore and discuss the experiences of underrepresented groups pursuing successful careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics).
The event will include a keynote talk by Dr. Hance Clarke, the Director of Pain Services and the Medical Director of the Pain Research Unit at the Toronto General Hospital. As a person of colour, Dr. Clarke will discuss his career experiences and how he has navigated them. Following the keynote, students will have the opportunity to reflect with one another in small discussion groups, led by support staff promoting emotional safety. We will also provide resources for on-campus supports and light refreshments for attendees.
Location: Hart House, East Common Room 1034
