Research Synopsis

Dr. Dickie’s research program bridges the newest advances in human brain mapping with psychiatry research. She builds novel software tools to advance the way that researchers store and analyze neuroimaging data. She applies these novel techniques to the study of complex brain disorders (such as Autism and Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders). Dr Dickie leads neuroimaging data collection within the Toronto Adolescent and Youth (TAY) CAMH cohort study, which will study treatment seeking youth (ages 11-24) to better understand how certain mental health symptoms can develop, who is at an increased likelihood of developing certain mental health challenges, and how we can better support young people.
