Andrew Dueck
Research Synopsis
Clinical Interests:
Dr. Dueck was appointed to the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Toronto with a focus on complex vascular care and also image-guided and endovascular interventions. He has a particular interest in the percutaneous treatment of occlusive disease for critical limb ischemia. He also has a strong interest in the endovascular and open repair of complex aortic pathology and works closely with university and hospital level colleagues in the Division of Cardiac Surgery.
Academic Interests:
Dr. Dueck's research interests include novel approaches to cardiovascular imaging. Imaging of the microvasculature of the peripheral extremities using MRI techniques and non contrast sequences is his current focus. He also has a strong interest in the evaluation of outcomes following cardiovascular interventions. He has a particular interest in evaluation of novel or new percutaneous or endovascular devices or therapeutics, and improving outcomes following complex aortic surgery such as thoracoabdominal surgery.
