GPD Workshop Series: Creating and Maintaining a Career Plan with the IDP

Completing an Individual Development Plan (IDP) is mandatory for all doctoral students who started their program at IMS in January 2023 and beyond. This workshop will ensure an effective use of this tool to maximize your experience of grad school and to successfully navigate career planning.

In a small group setting, we will cover:

• What IDPs are and why they are recommended
• How to leverage your IDP to benefit your research productivity, professional development, and career planning
• How to use the IDP to talk to your supervisor about your expectations and career plans
