Research Synopsis:

My research focuses on mechanisms and therapeutic targeting of inflammation in disease. Our primary work involves understanding how pro-inflammatory forms of cell death contribute to diseases of the nervous and cardiovascular systems. Using advanced methods in cell biology and microscopy in conjunction with preclinical models of disease, we are identifying way to target cell death to treat inflammation-driven illnesses.
