2014-2015 NSERC CGS and PGS Doctoral Competition
The NSERC CGS and PGS Doctoral Competition provides financial support to high-calibre scholars who are engaged in a doctoral program in the natural sciences or engineering. The CGS and PGS awards offered to the top-ranked applicants allowing them to fully concentrate on their studies and seek out the best research mentors in their chosen fields.
The Institute of Medical Science was awarded 5 NSERC CGS and PGS Awards for 2014 – 15. The IMS Congratulates the following students who have accepted this prestigious award:
2014 John Leyerle-CIFAR Prize for Interdisciplinary Research
The John Leyerle CIFAR Prize for Interdisciplinary Research was established by the University of Toronto to honour an excellent student who is clearly performing outstanding interdisciplinary research.
The IMS congratulates Ava Elahipahah who has won this award for the 2014 academic year.
2014-15 W. Garfield Weston Doctoral Fellowship
Congratulations to award winners Gwyenth Zai and Jennie Pouget who have won two of 16 awards offered to University of Toronto students across the the humanities and the social,physical and life sciences.
